IDEATION & CONCEPTULIZING

Thought through topics and methods to showcase various themes by presenting to peers.

Developed an actionable concept with writing experiments exploring what the final product would amount to.

RESEARCHING

Went to local museums and exhibitions to speak with designers and better understand various display systems and best practices.

Researched and spoke with experts to determine the message the exhibition would be showcasing and other supplemental, informational details.

SKETCHING

Laid out sketches to model the construction of the final product, complete with detailed measurements.

Explored what the various elements on the board would look like and how they would support the message.

INITIAL PRODUCTION

Experimented with design methods to create a successful interactive door piece.

Cut and painted all panels of the display, including details such as shadows and large blades of grass.

DESIGNING SYSTEMS & MATERIALS

Determined the best system to present information to all audiences.

Created a myriad of printed materials through iterative feedback processes and using all personal photography.

FINAL PRODUCTION

Printed and adhered final elements to all sides of display, using various glues depending on the needs of the material.

Made sure to touch up any small details such as foam board edges and vinyl effects.

SHOWCASE

Determined the best approach to deliver the full display to the showcase and helped set up and tear down several projects as part of the installation committee.

Had work on display and intractable to a rotating audience in a capstone showcase held over several days.
